Christmas Jumper Day 2016

I just love Christmas “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and gives me the opportunity to wear different festive earrings each day of the week, oh and my Christmas jumper. When I found out I was working on Christmas jumper day I was so excited. It’s days like these that make you think of others less fortunate than ourselves. It’s the time of year that brings out the goodness in people. Looking past all the decorated trees, colourful wrapped presents, jolly Santa & elves I was always taught that Christmas was a time for love, making peace and giving to others something I am proud to say I do through-out the year.

The day was a great way of bringing the festive cheer into the work place while raising money for a good cause “Save the Children UK”. I work on reception so I would normally be behind the desk welcoming guests when they check-in. On this occasion I actually got to stand at the main entrance to the Hotel and greet people for Christmas festive lunch, imagine my joy when I saw customers joining in the fun and wearing their Christmas jumpers in support.

I think the photograph shows how much fun we actually had and I’m the one in the “Minnie Mouse ears” have a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous New Year.
