Myton Hospice's Hospice at Home scheme has benefitted from nearly £3,600 raised by Ullesthorpe Golf Club as the nominated charity of Lady Captain for 2015, Pauline Dye.

The scheme allows Myton to take their specialist nursing care out into patients’ homes. The service provides personal care, support for the family, providing emotional support as well as practical advice and assistance, and respite care to give carers a break. Family carers wishing to provide care themselves, such as feeding or washing, can also seek advice or training from the Myton at Home team.

Pauline Dye, Ullesthorpe 2015 Lady Captain said "Like many local people, I have personal experience of the excellent service that Myton provides for people with terminal conditions and their families. The Hospice at Home is a fantastic scheme that allows people to stay in their own homes in comfort, which I'm sure many of us would choose to do, and gives support for their family carers at what can be a very difficult time."

An additional £3,600 was also raised for Captain Anthony Hopewell's nominated charity - the Leicester Royal Infirmary Oncology Unit.
